Razorbacks Continue Homestand

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas women’s tennis team returns to action Friday, welcoming Old Dominion to Dills Indoor Courts. First serve is slated for 11 a.m.

“We know what to expect from Old Dominion as our match last year was extremely spirited,” Arkansas women’s tennis head coach Michael Hegarty said. “We look forward to testing ourselves against more quality competition.”

The Lady Monarchs enter Fayetteville with a 4-3 record this spring, coming off a 4-3 win at VCU on Feb. 13. Last season, the Razorbacks won the first ever meeting between the two programs 4-0 in Fayetteville.

The Razorbacks are 4-4 on the season, coming off a loss to No. 14 Oklahoma State at home last Friday.

Leading the way in singles this season is freshman Ana Oparenovic who is 5-3 in dual matches and 11-6 overall. Oparenovic and sophomore Mia Jurasic have also been dominant together on the doubles court. The duo is 6-2 in dual matches, 10-4 overall and has won eight of their last ten. In their last match, they took down Oklahoma State’s No. 29 Katarina Adamovic and Vladica Babic 7-6 (5) at the No. 3 spot, tallying their first victory over a nationally ranked pair.

There will be free pizza, doughnuts, popcorn, Keurig hot chocolate and coffee, and Pepsi products. In addition, fans will have the opportunity to enter a drawing for two tickets to the gymnastics meet against Kentucky on Feb. 26 as well as a drawing for two tickets to the women’s basketball game against Ole Miss on Feb. 28.
