Arkansas named USTFCCCA Indoor Scholar Team of the Year

NEW ORLEANS – The Arkansas Razorbacks were named the NCAA Division I Women’s Indoor Track & Field National Scholar Team of the Year by USTFCCCA. This is the sixth time in program history that Arkansas has received this honor. Previously, the Razorbacks earned the distinction in 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, and 2019.

In addition to the team accolade, Arkansas totaled 17 individuals earning All-Academic honors. As a team, the Razorbacks sported a 3.42 grade point average.

Hosting the 2021 NCAA Indoor Championships, Arkansas produced 58 points of its 68 points on the final day to capture a second consecutive national indoor team title, matching the winning margin of 11 points from its 2019 championship. The 2020 NCAA Indoor was not held due to the pandemic.

Receiving individual USTFCCCA All-Academic recognition were Natassja Campbell, Devin Clark, Daszay Freeman, Krissy Gear, Abby Gray, Lauren Gregory, Mackenzie Hayward, Gracie Hyde, Katie Izzo, Shafiqua Maloney, Lauren Martinez, Logan Morris, Quinn Owen, Maddy Reed, Elien Vekemans, Carina Viljoen, and Tiana Wilson.

A total of 236 SEC student-athletes were named All-Academic athletes by USTFCCCA. Arkansas women had the highest total of individuals earning the honor in the league while the Razorback men and women produced the highest combined tally of 29 accolades.
