Arkansas to Host Bulldogs in Friday Night Match-Up

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.- The Arkansas volleyball team will host Mississippi State Friday night in the team’s lone match of the weekend. The Hogs will look for their second win in conference play, with the first coming last Friday against Ole Miss.

All-Time Series vs Mississippi State
Friday’s match against the Bulldogs will be the 46th meeting between the two teams. The Razorbacks have dominated the series, holding a large 40-5 advantage. The Hogs have won the last 11 matches against the Bulldogs. This is the first of two matches between the two teams this season.

Last Time Out
The Razorbacks went 1-1 last weekend, defeating Ole Miss 3-2 in a five-set thriller in Barnhill and falling to Missouri on the road. With the win over the Rebels, Arkansas snapped a six-match losing streak.

Through the first four weeks of SEC play, the Hogs sit in 11th place in the conference standings. Sophomore Hailey Dirrigl comes in at No. 8 in kills/set, averaging 3.51 with 186 total this season. Junior Rachel Rippee is sixth with 9.39 assists/set, recording 526 in 15 matches. Freshman Lauren Evans’ 0.36 aces/set rank fourth in the SEC while senior Okiana Valle is at the top of the league with 4.70 digs/set.
