Arkansas-Georgia set for 6 p.m. Friday

FAYETTEVILLE – Game one of the Arkansas-Georgia baseball series will be televised Friday at 6 p.m. (CT) by ESPN2. Friday’s contest is the opener of a three-game Southeastern Conference series at Baum Stadium. This will be the Razorbacks’ sixth television appearance of the season and first as part of the 2010 SEC baseball television package.

In total, the Hogs will be featured 15 times on national and regional television during the regular season as part of the 2010 SEC baseball television schedule. Arkansas will appear on ESPN2, ESPNU, CST and SportSouth during the course of the season. Nine of Arkansas’ 15 televised games will take place on its home field at Baum Stadium.

Arkansas (26-6, 9-3 SEC) is coming off a sweep of Mississippi State in Starkville last weekend. It marked the program’s first-ever road sweep against the Bulldogs. The Razorbacks have won six in a row and are 9-1 in their last 10 ballgames. With its 9-3 conference mark, Arkansas sits atop the standings in the SEC Western Division through 12 games.

Before their conference showdown with Georgia, the Hogs will host New Mexico in a two-game midweek series at Baum Stadium. Both games of the Tuesday-Wednesday matchup are scheduled for a 6:35 p.m. start.
