Arkansas Golfers Venture to Morris Williams Intercollegiate

AUSTIN, Texas. – The Arkansas men’s golf team ventures to the Morris Williams Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday, April 3-4, at the 6,906-yard Austin Country Club.

The 54-hole event consists of two rounds on Monday and the final 18 holes on Tuesday. The teams are scheduled for a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. on Monday.

Texas hosts a field of 18 of the top collegiate golf teams in the country. The event includes the Razorbacks, Baylor, BYU, Fresno State, Georgia Tech, Georgia State, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Pepperdine, Southern California, SMU, Stanford, Texas A&M, TCU, Texas Tech and Tulsa.

Junior Matt Bortis’ takes his team-best 72.4 scoring average into the Morris Williams Intercollegiate on Monday. He was the Hogs’ top finisher at the NIT Invitational a week ago with an even-par 216.

Sophomore Scotty Campbell joins Bortis in the Hogs lineup after a 2-over-par 218 at the NIT Invitational. Senior Josh Farrell is also in the lineup for the second straight tournament along with sophomore Eric Shriver and freshman Jordan Payne.
