EUGENE, Ore. – Andrew Irwin concluded his career as the most celebrated vaulter in The University of Arkansas men’s track and field history finishing seventh at the 2015 USATF Championships. A five-time USTFCCCA All-American, Irwin produced some of the nation’s top performances in the pole vault during his career as a Razorback. He holds two indoor national titles, two American junior records and is the eighth all-time best performer in collegiate history.

“I’ve had an unbelievable career as a Razorback,” Irwin said. “I couldn’t have done any of it without the help and opportunities provided by our coaching staff. I’m proud to have been and always will be a Razorback.”

2015 NCAA West preliminary round qualifier Rubin Owens competed in the junior section of the triple jump. Owens produced a big jump on his final attempt qualifying for finals and setting a new personal best with a mark of 15.17m/49-9.25. The 2014 New York state champion, finished in fourth place at his first USA junior championships.

Arkansas sophomore Trae Carey finished fourth in the long jump at the 2015 BAAA/BTC National Championships with a mark of 7.22m/23-8.25.

University of Arkansas men’s track and field signee Carlton Orange was the top performer in the USA Junior 800-meter run. Off the heels of his runner-up finish at the Brooks PR invitational, Orange clocked a time of 1:47.67 more than three seconds faster than his performance one week prior. The Memphis, Tenn. native will represent team USA at the 2015 Pan Am Games this summer in Edmonton, Canada.
