Dedication of Bogle Park set for April 11

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The latest addition to the University of Arkansas’ athletic facilities will be recognized Saturday, April 11, with the dedication of Bogle Park, the new home field for the Razorback softball team. The on-field dedication will take place at 11:15 a.m. before Arkansas’ game with No. 19 LSU. Gates at Bogle Park will open at 10:30 a.m. and the first 500 fans will receive free admission, a concession stand voucher and a commemorative softball marking the special date. The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown out by the Bogle family before the start of Saturday’s contest.

University of Arkansas Chancellor Dr. G. David Gearhart and Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Jeff Long will be take part in the dedication ceremony of the $8.5 million facility. Associate Vice Chancellor and Executive Associate Athletic Director Bev Lewis will be in attendance to recognize the donor gift supplied by the Bogle family. Members of the Bogle family will also be in attendance during Saturday’s ceremony. Razorback softball head coach Jamie Pinkerton will speak on behalf of the team. Marilyn Bogle will conclude the dedication with the ceremonial ribbon cutting.

First pitch of Saturday’s game between the Razorbacks and Tigers is scheduled for 12:07 p.m. Saturday’s contest will also represent the first game televised at Bogle Park as it will be carried by CST. For more details and information, visit ArkansasRazorbacks.com.
