Diamond Hogs Playing Summer Ball Across Country
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The 2007 Arkansas baseball team will spend the summer playing throughout the country on various summer league teams.
Diamond Hog players are spread over five different summer leagues while Logan Forsythe is starting in left field for Team USA and hitting .308.
Left-handed pitcher Dallas Keuchel is the lone Razorback in the prestigious Cap Cod Baseball League. He is playing for the Wareham Gateman and boasts a 0-1 record with a strong 3.00 ERA in 18 innings with five walks and 14 strikeouts.
Wayne Hrozek leads a contingent of five Hogs in the Texas Collegiate League. Hrozek was named to the TCL All-Star team after hitting .375 with a double, home run and three RBI. Sean Jones is playing for the Coppell Copperheads while RHP Sam Murphy is on the Euless Lonestars. LHP Stephen Richards is playing for the McKinney Marshals and RHP Evan Cox is on the Brazos Valley Bombers.
Junior-to-be middle infielder Matt Willard and right-handed pitcher Chad Pierce are both playing in the Northwoods League for the Wisconsin Woodchucks.
Tim Smalling is in the Coastal Plains League playing for the Wilson Tobs. LHP Scott Limbocker and outfielder Brad Secrist are in the Jayhawk League playing for t he Nevada Griffins.
