Distance Crew sets new personal bests

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Dominique Scott became the No. 4 performer in school history at 1,500 meters and Regan Ward won her section of the 3,000-meter steeplechase to highlight competition for the fourth-ranked University of Arkansas women’s track and field team at the 57th Mt. SAC Relays. The Razorbacks are scheduled for another race late Friday night in Walnut, Calif.

In her first race since breaking the 10K school record at the Stanford Invitational, Scott finished second among collegiate runners and seventh overall with a personal-best time of 4:12.16 at 1,500 meters. With the performance, she took more than two seconds off her previous best in the distance. Scott’s effort is a top-five NCAA season mark based on times entering the weekend.
