Fall Football Scrimmage

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas head coach Houston Nutt will get another look at his team in a game situation when the Razorbacks are scheduled to scrimmage at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18 in Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. The scrimmage is open and free to the public. Seating will be available only on the east side and the south end zone. Gates 12, 13, and 15 will open at 5 p.m., and the first 2,000 fans will receive a 2007 Razorback football schedule poster. Concession stands will also be open on the east concourse and the Hog Heaven Store will be open in the south end zone. Saturday marks the second scrimmage for the Razorbacks. Last weekend, Coach Nutt put his players through a 93-play scrimmage. Offensive backs Darren McFadden, Felix Jones, Peyton Hillis and quarterback Casey Dick were in black jerseys, which prevented them from being hit. In their brief appearances on the field, McFadden, Jones and Hillis combined for six carries for 25 yards with McFadden scoring on a 9-yard run. The defense, led by freshman Freddy Burton’s seven tackles, accounted for 2 sacks and 12 tackles for a total of 35 lost yards. The Razorbacks are scheduled to open the season against Troy at 6:00 p.m. on Sept. 1 at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville.
