Flowers Invited to Reese's Senior Bowl

MOBILE, Ala. –  Senior defensive end Trey Flowers accepted an invitation to participate in the 2015 Reese’s Senior Bowl on Jan. 25 in Mobile, Alabama. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m. in Ladd-Peebles Stadium and will be nationally televised on the NFL Network.

A Ted Hendricks Award candidate and preseason All-SEC first team honoree, Flowers has 15.0 career sacks, tying him for third among SEC active career leaders and ranking him tied for 10th on the school’s all-time career sacks list. The Huntsville, Alabama native is tied for the team lead with 9.5 tackles for loss this season, giving him 41.5 career tackles for loss. The senior is the active career leader in the SEC and ranks third on Arkansas’ all-time career tackles for loss chart.

Voted a captain by his teammates at the start of the season, Flowers spearheads a defense that has allowed 222 points this season, an improvement from 314 allowed through the same amount of games in 2013. This season, Flowers leads the Razorback defense with 11.0 tackles for loss, five quarterback hurries and his 49 combined tackles is good for fourth on the team.

The Razorbacks will host No.8 Ole Miss Saturday, Nov. 22, on Senior Day in Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. and will be nationally televised on CBS.
