Football Releases Spring Practice Schedule

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas football will take to the practice fields and officially open the spring season on March 16, practicing a total of 14 times before the Red-White Game on April 25.

Arkansas’ annual Red-White Game will kick off at 1 p.m. in Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. Attendance to the scrimmage is free and open to the public.

Practice dates that will be open to the public will be released at a later date.

Highlighted by the return of running backs junior Alex Collins and senior Jonathan Williams, the Razorbacks welcome back nine starters on offense. In 2014, Collins and Williams were the only 1,000-yard rushing duo in the FBS. The Razorbacks also welcome back fifth-year senior quarterback Brandon Allen, who threw 20 touchdown passes and only five interceptions, the fewest in the conference and tied for the third fewest in the FBS by a quarterback that started every game.

Arkansas will have eight early enrollees taking part in team activities this spring, including the Arkansas Gatorade Player of the Year, quarterback Ty Storey, and fellow Natural State natives defensive end Daytrieon Dean and tight end Will Gragg. Also joining the team are four-star prospects offensive lineman Jalen Merrick and defensive linemen Hjalte Froholdt and Jeremiah Ledbetter.

Arkansas closed the 2014 season winning three of its final four games against powers LSU, Ole Miss and Texas. The Razorbacks finished 7-6 with a 31-7 win over Texas in the AdvoCare V100 Texas Bowl, marking Arkansas’ first winning season since 2011.
