Haff, Warrick Named to SEC All-Tournament Team

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Having aided the Razorbacks’ semifinal run this week, freshman Mary Haff and junior Katie Warrick have earned a spot on the SEC All-Tournament Team as announced Saturday following the championship game between Florida and South Carolina. This marks the program’s first all-tournament picks since the 2001 season.

In three appearances during the week, Haff was 2-0 with 1.08 ERA including a complete-game outing in Arkansas’ opening-round win over No. 19 Kentucky. She picked up a win in relief in the Razorbacks’ 8-3 upset of eight-ranked and No. 2 seed Georgia. With the win, she tied the program’s single-season record with her 26th victory of the year. Haff finished the week with eight strikeouts and now has 226 which puts her second on Arkansas’ single-season list.

The latest honor adds to Haff’s list of recent accolades. Prior to the SEC Tournament, she and teammate Hannah McEwen were both named to the All-SEC Second Team and SEC All-Freshman Team. Haff was also named a top-10 finalist for the Schutt Sports/NFCA Division I National Freshman of the Year.

Warrick tallied a .444 batting average with two doubles and two runs scored during the SEC Tournament. She drove in the first run in the Razorbacks’ win over Georgia with an RBI double in the third inning. She reached base three times against the Bulldogs, scoring twice in the game. Warrick was 2-for-3 in the semifinal matchup with No. 12 South Carolina with her second double of the week.
