Hogs and Cowboys Renew Storied Rivalry

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – ESPN has announced television network designations and start times for the fourth annual Big 12/SEC Challenge with Arkansas slated to play Oklahoma State on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017 at 3 p.m. CDT on ESPNU at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

The Razorbacks will travel to Stillwater, Oklahoma for the 51st all-time meeting between the two programs. Oklahoma State leads the series 36-14, with 46 of the 50 matchups coming prior to the 1972-73 season. Arkansas’ last win in Stillwater came on Dec. 7, 1966.

The Razorbacks posted one of the three SEC wins last year in the challenge, knocking off Texas Tech 75-68 in overtime at Bud Walton Arena as Dusty Hannahs went off for 25 points, while Moses Kingsley tallied a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

For the second consecutive year, the challenge will be consolidated to a single day in January as a bye in the league schedule for participating teams was created to accommodate the new format. The four SEC teams not participating will play each other in conference games the same day.

All 10 games of the Big 12/SEC Challenge will air on the ESPN family of networks and will also be available via WatchESPN, accessible online at WatchESPN.com. ESPN’s College GameDay Covered by State Farm – the Saturday morning and evening roadshow that discusses the top storylines of the college basketball season – will originate from one of the Challenge games, to be announced at a later date.

The Razorback Ticket Center is currently accepting requests for 2016-17 Men’s Basketball Season Tickets. Seats will be assigned by Razorbacks Foundation guidelines with season ticket prices ranging from $360 to $450. To purchase tickets call 1-800-982-4647 or click here.
