STILLWATER, Okla.-The No. 9 ranked University of Arkansas men’s golf team competed in round 2 of the NCAA South Central Regional on Friday to end in third place with a score 23-over 599(298-301).Tournament host Oklahoma State remained in first place, only adding a stroke their overall score at a 9-over 585(296-289). Tennessee-Chattanooga held its place at second, edging Arkansas out of the previous round’s tie by a stroke. Northwestern followed in fourth with a 28-over 604(302-302), and the No. 21 ranked LSU slid into fifth with a 29-over 605(298-307).On the player leader board Wichita State University’s Connor McHenry moved into a tie at first place from the previous day’s tie for 11th 2-under 142(73-69) with Oklahoma State Peter Uihlein who was formerly tie at sixth with a 142(72-70). Arkansas freshman Ethan Tracy was again the Hogs’ frontrunner. Tracy now is tied for 10th place after carding a 3-over 147(71-76). David Lingmerth moved up from his tie at 21st in round 1 to a tie at 14th place with a 4-over 148(74-74). Andrew Landry added a pair of 75 to go 6-over 150. Jason Cuthbertson tied for 49th with teammate Jamie Marshall with a 14-over 158(78-80). Marshall moved up the leader board considerably in day 2 from a tie at 67th after shooting (82-76).The tournament barring inclement weather will conclude Saturday at the 7407 yard, par 72 Karsten Creek Golf Club.
