Home Opener Brings Missouri State to Bogle Park

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – After two weekend road trips to open the season, the University of Arkansas softball team returns to its home field Wednesday evening to host Missouri State. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m. CT at Bogle Park. Admission is free for all home games with gates opening one hour prior to start time. The Razorbacks have won nine of 10 to start the season.

All-Time Series vs Missouri State
Wednesday’s game marks the 39th all-time meeting in the series between Arkansas and Missouri State. Both teams have won 19 games with the Razorbacks taking six of the last 10. Arkansas has won 11 of the 17 games in the series played in Fayetteville.

Last Time Out
The Razorbacks won four of their five games at the Madeira Beach Invitational to improve to 9-1 overall. Arkansas lost its finale to McNeese, which is ranked 23rd in this week’s NFCA poll. The team generated eight home runs and a .400 batting average over five games.

Program-Best Start
With a run-rule win over Villanova (Feb. 24), Arkansas improved to 9-0 which marked the best start in program history. It surpassed the previous best start of 8-0 posted by the 2017 team. Overall, the Razorbacks are 9-1 entering the fourth week of the season.

Offense Came to Play…and Produce
Through its first 10 games, Arkansas is eighth in the NCAA with a .358 team batting average. The Razorbacks also rank fourth in home runs per game (1.50), seventh in slugging percentage (.580) and 10th in runs per game (7.30). Leading the way is senior Autumn Buczek who ranks eighth in the SEC with a .472 batting average

Enjoying the Sunshine (State)
Hannah McEwen hit .579 (11-for-19) with 10 runs driven in and eight runs scored at last weekend’s Madeira Beach Invitational. Six of 11 hits went for extra bases including two home runs. McEwen had at least two hits in each game and raised her batting average more than 200 points.
