Hunter named Academic All-American

Razorback senior defender Bryana Hunter garnered second-team honors on the 2021 Academic All-America Women’s Soccer team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). A biochemistry major, Hunter was also awarded SEC Scholar-Athlete 0f the Year last month.

She led all position players in minutes with 2,044. As a defender, she scored two goals and notched one assist earning First Team All-SEC honors this season. She was also named to the SEC Community Service Team last month, and a two-time SEC Defender of the Week for the 2021 campaign.

Hunter is the first Arkansas soccer player to be named to an Academic All-American since 2006.

Hunter joins 33 other student-athletes from around the country on the three teams. The complete team of 34 averages a GPA of 3.94.
