Keuchel Has Strong Start to 2016 MLB Season

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – With the 2016 MLB season now in full swing, six former Razorbacks got their major league seasons underway, as well as a number of former Hogs that play in the minor leagues.

With all eyes on last year’s AL Cy Young Award winner, Dallas Keuchel did not disappoint in his first start of the year against the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium. Keuchel held the Yankee hitters to just 2 runs on 3 hits over seven innings with 5 strikeouts.

Keuchel has made two more starts since Opening Day: He took the loss in 5 2/3 innings against Milwaukee while striking out eight, but he bounced back with a victory over Detroit on Friday, going 8 shutout innings and striking out 4. His 17 strikeouts currently ranks 24th in the major leagues and 12th in the American League.

Below is an updated statistical listing of all six former Arkansas players in the major leagues, along with the complete list of minor league Hogs.
