Kingsley Hauls in SEC Weekly Honor

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – With back-to-back double-doubles in two Razorback wins, Moses Kingsley has been named SEC Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday morning.

Kingsley averaged 17.5 points and 11 rebounds, along with two assists, one steal and 1.5 blocks in the two games. His 18 points and 11 rebounds led Arkansas to an upset victory over No. 5 Texas A&M on Wednesday night, as the Razorbacks improved to 7-3 against Associated Press top five opponents in Bud Walton Arena.

In the #BIG12SEC Challenge against Texas Tech on Saturday afternoon, Kingsley went scoreless and without a rebound in the first frame, but responded with all of his 17 points and 11 rebounds in the second half and overtime in the 75-68 win. He had the first basket in overtime and then put Arkansas ahead for good with a steal and breakaway dunk in the extra period.

Kingsley now has three-consecutive double-doubles and ranks second in the SEC with 11 on the season. He’s one of five Power Five players in the country with 11-plus double-doubles on the year and has scored in double figures in all 21 of the Razorbacks’ games. Kingsley leads the SEC with 54 blocks and 3.4 offensive rebounds per contest.

Arkansas returns to action on Wednesday night, traveling to Florida for a 6 p.m. CT tip-off on SEC Network.
