LaBarbara Finishes Stroke Play

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – University of Arkansas freshman Jordy LaBarbera match her first-round 79 with a second-round 70 for 158 at the Women’s Western Golf Association 115th National Amateur Championship at Nashville Golf and Athletic Club in Brentwood, Tenn., Tuesday.

The Allen, Texas, native was consistent through the stroke play portion of the event and moves on to match play in the Second Flight beginning Wednesday.

LaBarbera faces Cecily Overbey of High Point, N.C., in an 8:30 a.m. match.  Overbey finished stroke play with a 159.  Match play continues through Friday.

LaBarbera played in 13 rounds during her freshman season with the Razorbacks averaging 76.31 in her first year.  She had one top-10 finish with a career-best round of 70.
