Lady?Back Sarah Landau Honored by the SEC

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Lady Razorback Sarah Landau, a pole vaulter on the track and field team, has been honored by the Southeastern Conference, it was announced on Tuesday. Landau was named the SEC Field Athleteof the Week.

Landau, making her Lady’Back debut, cleared 13-1.5 to win the pole vault at the Louisiana Classics. She also cleared a regional-qualifying height. In her efforts, she also tied the Ragin’ Cajuns facility best. Her clearance of 13-1.5 leads the SEC by a foot and ranks No. 4 in the nation.

Landau, a transfer from Miami-Ohio, is a two-time NCAA Mideast Region Champion, three-time NCAA qualifier and two-time Mid-American Conference champion. She redshirted the 2008 indoor season and holds junior eligibility outdoors.
