Lady'Backs Set for Senior Day and Television

FAYETTEVILLE-The University of Arkansas softball team has a busy weekend when Kentucky travels to Fayetteville for a series beginning Saturday, April 23, with a 1 p.m. doubleheader at Lady’Back Yard.

Sunday’s contest with the Wildcats will be broadcast live on Fox Sports South with first pitch set for 1:06 p.m. The Lady Razorbacks are also honoring seniors Ashley Carter and Zenobia Davison.

The Lady’Backs post a 12-9 all-time advantage over the Wildcats with Arkansas winning the series last season in Lexington, Ky.

As the conclusion of the season draws near with 11 games remaining, Arkansas head coach Jamie Pinkerton said he hopes his team keeps improving.

“We are basically looking to continue to get better,” Pinkerton said. “I think we’ve done that down the stretch.”

Sophomore outfielder Rachel LeMaster leads the Arkansas offense with a .388 batting average, 64 hits and 21 stolen bases. LeMaster is now second on the school list for stolen bases in a season.
