Men’s Tennis Back Home Against No. 27 Texas A&M

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Arkansas men’s tennis team returns home as the host an SEC matchup against No. 27 Texas A&M. The Razorbacks (12-4, 0-3) will face the Aggies (9-7, 2-2) on Saturday, March 18 at 1 p.m. CT.

Arkansas faced two tough opponents last weekend, falling to Ole Miss at home 4-2 then traveling to take on the No. 6 Kentucky Wildcats in a 7-0 defeat. In the loss to Ole Miss, the Razorbacks started out strong taking the doubles point with wins on courts two and three. Junior Alan Sau Franco earned the lone singles victory, improving to 6-1 in singles play this season.

The No. 27 ranked Aggies are coming off two-straight wins over ACU (6-1) and No. 55 Tulsa (5-2). Noah Schachter is the feature of court one for the Aggies with five ranked wins, boasting a 7-4 record this spring. Raphael Perot holds down court two with a 9-3 record this dual season, leading the team with nine wins. In doubles, Schachter teams up with Trey Hilderbrand with 11 dual match doubles wins and an eight-match-winning streak.
