Men's track wraps at Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas – No. 15 Arkansas Razorback men’s track and field concluded competition on the final day of the 2010 Texas Relays, held at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, Texas.

"Our two freshmen, Caleb Cross and Drew Butler, ran really well on our distance medley relay," head coach Chris Bucknam said. "Unfortunately, they weren’t put in a good position in the race but I’m still impressed with their efforts. I’m pleased with our results this weekend. A lot of our young guys got some good work in and that is only going to help their progress. We will continue to work on some key areas before next weekend’s home meet."

Junior Luke Laird was ninth in the "A" flight of the javelin. He best toss of the day measured 202-5.

Junior Michael Chinchar (1,200 meters, 3:07.94), freshman Caleb Cross (400 meters, 47.54), junior Chris Bilbrew (800 meters, 1:53.93) and freshman Drew Butler (1,600 meters, 4:06.63) combined for a time of 9:56.37 and a 10th-place finish in the distance medley relay,

Arkansas will compete next when it hosts the John McDonnell Invitational on Sat., April 10.
