Miranda Walker recognized

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas Razorback junior Miranda Walker, a member of the women’s cross country team, has been recognized for her efforts by the Southeastern Conference, it was announced on Tuesday.

Walker has been named the SEC Runner of the Week for the first time in her career after winning the Arkansas Invitational last week. Back from redshirting in 2008-09, Walker won the individual race in the Razorbacks’ season opener, her first race in a year. She clocked a 4K time of 14:01.5 to take the tape and lead her teammates to the team title.

The Razorbacks finished five runners in the top 10, seven in the top 12 and all competitors in the top 14. Arkansas topped Missouri Southern, 25-34.
