Mistry Named Golfweek All-American

Kajal Mistry of the Arkansas women’s golf team earned the first All-America honors of her career, as she was tabbed an Honorable Mention choice on the 2022 Golfweek’s All-American team.

Coming off her third season with the Razorbacks, Mistry racked up a myriad of accolades and accomplishments to add to her résumé. The Johannesburg, South Africa product earned the following honors during the 2021-22 season:

  • Tabbed an All-SEC First Team selection (one of eight First Teamers in the conference)
  • Earned her first collegiate individual win at the MountainView Collegiate (carded a 206 [-10], which was her best 54-hole score by five strokes)
  • Her win at the MountainView Collegiate was over golfers from the likes of First Team All-American Natasha Oon (San Jose State) and Third-Team choices Caitlyn Macnab (TCU) and Maddison Hinson-Tolchard (Oklahoma State), among others
  • Led the team with a 73.18 average, which, on top of an individual win, included two top-5 showings and three top-10 finishes
  • One of two Hogs to appear in all 11 events during the team’s historic run
  • Tallied three scores in the 60s, including matching a career round-low of 67
  • Contributed to the Hogs earning a bid to the NCAA Championship after the team placed third at the Ann Arbor Regional
  • Led the Hogs at the NCAA Championship to tie for 34th after moving 22 spots on the individual leaderboard on the final day

Mistry is Head Coach Shauna Taylor’s 11th Golfweek All-American Honorable Mention choice. This also marks the second consecutive year the Hogs have seen an All-American selection by Golfweek, as Brooke Matthews was recognized with Honorable Mention season.

The Arkansas women’s golf team returns Mistry for her fourth season and is joined by six other solid returners and two talented newcomers. The 2022-23 schedule is set to be released later this summer.
