USTFCCCA PRESEASON RANKINGS

Arkansas is one of eight SEC programs ranked among the top 25 best teams in the nation and one of five to make the top 10. During the last three seasons, Arkansas has consistently been one of the toughest teams to contend with. The Razorbacks earned NCAA indoor gold, silver and bronze team trophies from 2013 through 2015.

ALL EYES ON…

2014 NCAA indoor long jump champion Jarrion Lawson was named to the Preseason Bowerman Watch List as one of the 10 best student-athletes returning this season. Lawson barely missed defending his title in 2015, finishing .1m behind SEC rival and eventual Bowerman winner Marquis Dendy of Florida. The Texarkana native is a two-time national champion (long jump and 4x100m) through three years with the program.

The Razorbacks return three from the 2015 SEC All-Freshman team in Kenzo Cotton (outdoor SEC Freshman Runner of the Year), Austen Dalquist (mile) and Alex George (3,000m and 5,000m). Cotton and Dalquist teamed up to earn national recognition in their first season as members of the eighth-place finishing DMR team. Naturally gifted in sprints, Cotton picked up an NCAA title during the outdoor season with the 4×100-meter relay team. Dalquist and George redshirted during outdoor and returned to completion fresh in the fall to assist the Razorbacks to a top eight finish at the 2015 NCAA Cross Country Championships.

Nine All-Americans — including Cotton, Dalquist, Eric Janise, Lawson, Ken LeGassey, Andrew Pisechko, Clive Pullen, Cale Wallace, and Marqueze Washington — will look to lead Arkansas to another NCAA indoor podium finish later this season in Birmingham, Ala.
