No. 30 Gamecocks upset 15th-ranked women's tennis.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Fifth-ranked Aurelija Miseviciute ran her perfect record in Southeastern Conference action to 7-0 as No. 30 South Carolina upset the 15th-ranked University of Arkansas Razorback women’s tennis team, 5-2, on Friday at the George M. Billingsley Tennis Center.

Miseviciute dropped No. 59 Gira Schofield, 6-3, 7-6(6), for her 21st win of the season over a nationally ranked opponent.

The Razorbacks will face-off against No. 16 Florida on Sunday at noon, as the first 200 fans will received a red “Razorback Tennis,” rally-towel.

The Gamecocks (11-7, 4-2) were able to sweep through doubles to take an early, 1-0, lead. Ana Zubori and Natasa Vuckovic, ranked No. 63, upset 29th-ranked Nanar Airapetian and Anouk Tigu, 9-7. Schofield and Miljana Jocic provided the clincher, 8-4, over No. 62 Miseviciute and Ela Kaluder, ending their perfect mark in SEC action.

After claiming doubles, 52nd-ranked Zubori defeated No. 71 Tigu, 6-2, 6-3. Vuckovic extended the lead to 3-0 after a win on Court 4 over Emily Carbone, 6-3, 6-2. South Carolina clinched the match after Dijana Stojic dropped Kaluder, 6-2, 6-3, putting the score at 4-0.

On Court 6, Suzie Mansour went on to defeat Kate Lukomskaya in three sets, 6-0, 2-6, 6-3. The senior Airapetian got the Hogs (9-6, 4-3) on the board for the first time after winning the super-tiebreaker third-set over Jocic, 10-4.
