On The Air With Bret Bielema Returns With Packed Show

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – “On the Air with Bret Bielema,” Coach Bielema’s weekly radio show presented by AT&T and Lindsey, returns on Thursday night at 7 p.m. at the Catfish Hole in Fayetteville. This week’s show will not only feature associate head coach Sam Pittman and Rimington Trophy watch list member Mitch Smothers but also country music star Justin Moore.

Chuck Barrett, the voice of the Razorbacks, will host head coach Bret Bielema and fans can make reservations to attend the show by calling the Catfish Hole at 479-521-7008. Tickets are $25 and include all you can eat dinner buffet with catfish, shrimp and chicken.

Moore is in Northwest Arkansas to host his College Town Throwdown with John Pardi and other country music stars this Friday at the Walmart Amp in Rogers, Ark. Tickets are $29 in advance, $39 the day of or $100 for VIP at www.CollegeTownThrowdown.com. Gates open at 3:45 p.m.

Arkansas will host Auburn on Saturday in its first SEC home game of the season at Donald W. Reynolds Stadium starting at 11 a.m. Pittman’s guidance over the offensive line has helped the Razorbacks rank first in the SEC in fewest sacks allowed each of the last two seasons, a stat they lead the conference in again in 2015. All five starters on the offensive line have received preseason or postseason recognition in their career, highlighted by Smothers becoming the sixth Razorback in program history to be named to the Rimington Trophy watch list.

Smothers has made 19 straight starts at center, anchoring an offensive line that has paved the way for running backs Alex Collins and Rawleigh Williams to run for over 100 yards a combined five times in the first six games. Arkansas is one of just eight teams in the nation to allow five sacks or less this season and hasn’t allowed a sack in 14 of 31 games under Pittman’s direction.

The show will be carried throughout the state of Arkansas on the Razorback Sports Network and in Fayetteville on 92.1 FM and 93.3 FM.
