AUSTIN, Texas-The No. 25 ranked University of Arkansas men’s golf team was off to a strong start in the first two rounds of the Morris Williams Intercollegiate played at the 7,412 yard, par 71 University of Texas Golf Club on Monday.

Oklahoma State ended the first two rounds of tournament play in first place at 1-over 569(285-284). Southern California was in second at 16-over 584(291-293). Arkansas placed 6 strokes behind with a score of 22-over 590, with matching rounds of 295. Host No. 21 ranked Texas followed by 5 strokes at 27-over 595(296-299).

Arkansas Freshman Ethan Tracy and junior David Lingmerth led the Razorbacks in day one of the tournament, tying in sixth place with 3-over 145(71-74) and 145(74-71), respectfully. Jason Cuthbertson and Andrew Landry followed in similar flip-flop fashion tying at No. 28 with 8-over 150(76-74) and 150(74-76). Jamie Marshall scored an 8-over 79 in the first, but made a withdrawal for the second.

Southern California’s Tom Glissmeyer was atop the individual leader boards at 3-under 139(69-70) for the day. Both Jordan Hammer of BYU and Cody Paladino of Baylor had "Holes-in-One" on the Par 3 second in the morning round.

The tournament will conclude on Tuesday with the last round beginning at 8:00 CST. Jamie Marshall will tee off first for Arkansas at 9:28 CST. Live scoring will again be provided by Golfstat.com
