Petrino Set for SEC Media Days Debut

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas head football coach Bobby Petrino will make his Southeastern Conference Football Media Days debut on Friday in Hoover, Ala., a suburb of Birmingham. Petrino, center Jonathan Luigs and linebacker Elston Forte will represent the Razorbacks on the final day of the three-day event at the Wynfrey Hotel.

Arkansas’ contingent is scheduled to begin the media rotation at 10:40 a.m. Petrino will appear first in the print media and internet room. The first 10 minutes of his comments are scheduled to be shown live on ESPNews Hotlist. ESPNU will also be airing live from SEC Football Media Days from 8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. CT.

Luigs will serve as Arkansas’ offensive player representative. The Little Rock, Ark., native is a pre-season consensus All-American after winning the 2007 Rimington Trophy last season.

Forte was chosen as the Razorbacks’ defensive representative for the media session. Also a Little Rock product, Forte is a vital cog in the Arkansas defense both on the field and in the locker room as a leader.

Joining the Razorbacks on the final day will be Kentucky, Auburn and South Carolina. Be sure to log on to ArkansasRazorbacks.com for coverage of SEC Football Media Days beginning on Wednesday. Chuck Barrett and Blair Cartwright will be reporting from Hoover with all the latest information on all of the teams, including extensive coverage of the Razorbacks on Friday.
