Pierce Neumann swim 100 breast at Open

SEATTLE, Wash. – University of Arkansas swimmers Leah Pierce and Erin Neumann were back in the pool at the 2009 U.S. Open Swimming Championships Friday, competing in the 100 breast.Pierce, the Arkansas record holder in the 100 breast, finished in 30th place on Friday with a time of 1:11.53.

Neumann touched in with a time of 1:14.73, in 71st place.

Friday’s race was the last for Pierce and Neumann at the Open. Sophomore Alison Templin will swim her final event, the 1500 free on Saturday at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Club in Seattle, Wash.
