RAZORBACK BASEBALL GAME STILL SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The home opener for the Arkansas baseball team is still on for Saturday, February 17th. First pitch is scheduled for 2:05 pm. Cold temperatures still persist in Northwest Arkansas and a decision on the start of the game tomorrow will be made in the late morning. If temperatures do not rise to the forcasted levels on Saturday, the game would be postponed. As contruction proceeds at Baum Stadium, the left field picnic area known as the Hog Pen will be open for Sunday’s game. Crews began sodding the area on Friday afternoon and were expected to finish late Saturday. The area will not have any picnic tables or grills for the next two home weekends. Due to liability reasons, outside grills cannot be brought into the stadium. All fans wishing to sit in the new Hog Pen will need to enter through Gate A and proceed down the 3rd base concourse. If the game is postponed, it will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Sunday beginning at 12:05 pm. The doubleheader would be 2 nine inning games. Tickets to the postponed Friday game will be honored for Monday’s 1:05 pm game. If Saturday’s game is postponed, fans must have a Sunday ticket for the possible Sunday doubleheader.
