@RazorbackMTEN Hosts Doubleheader Against Mercer On Friday

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Razorback men’s tennis will host a doubleheader versus Mercer (0-1) at the Dills Indoor Tennis Center starting at 1 p.m. CT on Friday.

Admission is free and open to the public. Both matches will take place on the indoor courts at the George M. Billingsley Tennis Center, located at 1503 Nettleship Street, Fayetteville, AR 72701. Free pizza will be available to fans as supplies lasts.

LAST TIME OUT:
Arkansas competed at the University of Texas Invitational Jan. 9-11 in Austin, Texas. The Razorbacks faced competitors from No. 9 Texas, Texas Tech and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and collected 11 singles wins and four doubles victories on the weekend. Junior William Albanese claimed the biggest Arkansas win of the invite, battling through three sets to defeat No. 48 Adrien Berkowicz of Texas 6-1, 4-6, 6-2.

A LOOK AT MERCER (0-1):
Mercer men’s tennis dropped its 2015 spring opener to Georgia Tech, 7-0 in Atlanta, Georgia on Jan. 10. The Bears saw only two of their six singles matches go to three sets against Georgia Tech (2-0), after losing all three doubles contests. Mercer went 9-17 overall, 3-5 in the Atlantic Sun Conference in 2013-14 and is now playing as a member of the Southern Conference. In the programs’ last meeting, Arkansas defeated Mercer 6-1 and 5-2 in a doubleheader in January of 2014.

TENNIS BALL “TOSS FOR CASH”:
Tennis balls scattered throughout campus may be redeemed at the 1 PM tennis match on Friday. Between doubles and singles, fans with a tennis ball will have an opportunity to throw it into a trash can at center court to win $100 cash.
