@RazorbackMTEN Opens Spring Season At Texas Invitational

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas men’s tennis team opens its 2015 spring season at the University of Texas Invitational at the indoor Weller Tennis Center in Austin, Texas on Friday.

At the three-day mock dual, Razorback players will face competitors from No. 9 Texas, No. 41 Texas Tech and Texas A&M-Corpus Christie. Representing Arkansas in Austin will be senior Jovan Parlic, juniors William Albanese, Giammarco Micolani and Santiago Munoz, sophomores Johan den Toom, Jacob Herndon and Juan Marino and freshmen David Herrerias and Branch Terrell.

This weekend’s invitational will be a good test for Arkansas who will go up against Texas on Jan. 18 in Fayetteville, Arkansas in its third dual match of 2015.

The Razorbacks competed in five events in fall 2014 where they faced players from a variety of universities. In the final competition of the fall season at the Florida Golf Coast Invitational, Arkansas doubles teams of Munoz and Parlic and Albanese and Herrerias won third place in their respective flights.
