@RazorbackMTEN Ready For No. 9 Texas

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas men’s tennis team (2-0) will host No. 9 Texas (1-0) at the Dills Indoor Tennis Center at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Admission is free and open to the public. The match will take place on the indoor courts at the George M. Billingsley Tennis Center, located at 1503 Nettleship Street, Fayetteville, AR 72701. Free pizza will be available to fans as supplies lasts.

LAST TIME OUT:
Arkansas opened the dual season with a doubleheader 6-1, 6-1 win over Mercer on Friday in Fayetteville. The Razorbacks swept both doubles points and took eight of 12 singles matches in straight sets. Playing in the No. 1 singles spot in the first match, junior Giammarco Micolani collected his first collegiate win, bettering Anderson Scarpa 6-1, 6-0. Sophomore Johan den Toom clinched the first match for Arkansas, defeating Oliver Snaider 6-2, 6-4 in the No. 2 spot, while senior Jovan Parlic sealed the deal in the second match after netting a 6-0, 6-4 win over Snaider in the No. 1 spot.

A LOOK AT TEXAS (1-0):
Texas men’s tennis also opened its 2015 season with a win, defeating Tulsa 4-3 in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Friday. The Longhorns were edged in the doubles point, but rallied with four singles victories. Senior All-American No. 13 Søren Hess-Olesen defeated Tulsa’s Or Ram-Harel in three sets, 6-4, 0-6, 6-4, at No. 1 singles. In the only straight-set singles match of the night, junior Nick Naumann defeated Tulsa’s Dylan McCloskey, 6-2, 6-1.

JUNIOR RAZORBACK DAY:
Arkansas Tennis t-shirts will be given to the first 200 fans. Kids will have the opportunity between doubles and singles to serve a tennis ball to hit a prize on the other side of the net. If they hit the prize, they get to keep it. Prizes vary and include an iPad!
