Razorbacks Ready for Exhibition Against Missouri State

The Razorback volleyball team hits the Barnhill Arena court for the first time in the 2021 fall season on Saturday.

Arkansas is set to take on Missouri State in an exhibition match at 2 p.m. It’s the first action for both teams before they kick off their official schedules on August 27.

Arkansas looks to set the tone early after a successful split season in 2020-21. The team went 14-8 in an SEC-only schedule, the most conference wins for the program since 2003. Head coach Jason Watson was named SEC Coach of the Year for his efforts and the team returns All-SEC selections Jillian Gillen and Taylor Head this fall. Head also received SEC Freshman of the Year honors.

The match is the first opportunity for freshmen Jada Lawson, Courtney Jackson, Hannah Hogue and Zoi Evans to see action as Razorbacks, along with Kansas State graduate transfer Abigail Archibong.

Missouri State finished its split season 15-7. The Lady Bears lost just one player and add three rookies.

The match is free and open to the public. Doors open at 1 p.m., and fans will have the opportunity to participate in a Chalk Talk session with head coach Jason Watson and players post-match.

The Razorbacks will play 13 matches in Barnhill Arena this fall and season tickets are still available for $40. Fans can purchase season tickets  HERE or by calling the Razorback Ticket Center at (479) 575-5151. Season tickets will also be available for purchase at Barnhill Arena at the ticket window.
