Razorbacks set sights on SEC Championships

Fayetteville, Ark.- The 20th ranked Arkansas Swim & Dive team is set to begin the 2021 SEC Championships, which will take place February 17-20. This year will be different as the divers will compete in Columbia, Mo. and the swimmers will compete in Athens, Ga.

The Razorbacks are looking to improve on last year’s 10th place finish, where they went home with three silver medals and 422 points. They will be one of the nine teams ranked in the CSCAA top 25 at the event.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing measures involving the student-athletes, there will be no spectators allowed in Columbia or Athens. Each session of the meet will be streamed live on SEC Network+.

Quotables

Head Coach Neil Harper: “Our team is excited and confident this year. Even though our swimmers and divers are at two different venues, we are hoping to combine our performances into our best SEC Championships in the last 10 years. This will take a total team effort and we look forward to the challenges ahead.”

Diving Coach Dale Schultz: “We are really looking forward to this year’s SEC Championships with six divers representing the Razorbacks. All six have been training hard and should have great chance of helping our swimming and diving program move up in the SEC results. With Brooke Schultz and Maha Amer back from their Olympic red shirt year, they will not only help by contributing valuable points but help guide the freshman divers through this meet.”
