Hogs Start at No. 6 in NCBWA Preseason Poll

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Arkansas is ranked No. 6 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association’s preseason poll.

The NCBWA is the fifth of the six major preseason polls, which also includes Baseball America, Collegiate Baseball, D1Baseball, Perfect Game and USA Today Coaches, to be released. The Hogs were ranked No. 4 by Perfect Game, No. 7 by Collegiate Baseball, No. 8 by D1Baseball and No. 11 by Baseball America this preseason.

Arkansas posted a 46-21 overall record in 2022, highlighted by the program’s 11th trip to the College World Series and its third in the last four full seasons. The Razorbacks are the only team in the country with at least 45 wins in each of the last five full seasons.

The SEC leads all conferences with 11 teams in the NCBWA’s preseason top 35: LSU (No. 1), Tennessee (No. 2), Florida (No. 4), Texas A&M (No. 5), Arkansas (No. 6), Ole Miss (No. 7), Vanderbilt (No. 9), Alabama (No. 25), Auburn (No. 27), South Carolina (No. 28) and Mississippi State (No. 31).
