REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR RAZORBACK JUNIOR MEN?S GOLF CAMP

Registration is now open for the Razorback Junior Men’s Golf Camps to be held during the last two weeks of June. The golf camps are open to any male golfers between the ages of 8-18, who have not entered their freshman year of college. The program will benefit beginners, intermediate, and advanced golfers who aspire to elevate their game while having fun in a challenging and competitive environment. All campers will be placed in a division according to his experience and skills testing conducted on the day of arrival. There will be 4-5 golfers per group and each group will rotate through different instructional stations throughout the week. This will enable the coaches and teaching professionals to maintain a very impressive student-to-teacher ratio. And, as a result, campers will receive quality instruction and individual attention throughout the many hours of small group instruction and competition.

All campers (except commuters) will be housed on campus in University of Arkansas dormitories. Strict supervision will be provided 24-hours a day at the golf course, dormitories, and during evening recreational activities. Camper registration will begin on Sunday, June 17th and Sunday, June 24th at 3:00 p.m. Camper evaluations and skills testing for grouping purposes will begin immediately following camp registration. Each camp will conclude with a tournament and awards luncheon at 1:00 p.m. on the following Thursdays (June 21st and June 28th, respectively). Parents are welcome to attend.

The Razorback Golf Camps will be utilizing the world-class Blessings Golf Club and Razorback Golf Course for play and competition, while daily practice and instruction sessions will be held at the Fred and Mary Smith Razorback Golf Facility (the Blessings practice facility and University of Arkansas Men’s Golf building). Instruction will come from Coach Brad McMakin and the Assistant Coaching staff. University of Arkansas players will serve as camp counselors and will assist with instruction, transportation needs, and oversee all dormitory activities. The camp will cover all aspects of golf. Extensive attention will be given to the full swing, short game, wedge game, pitching/chipping, bunker play, and putting. Each camper will receive DVD documenting his personal instruction and will feature audio/video of swing changes and drills for continued improvement.
