Road Tests Continue at Kansas Invitational

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – For a second-consecutive weekend, the University of Arkansas volleyball team hits the road for a trio of matches, this time at the Kansas Invitational in Lawrence. Competition begins Friday with matches against Maryland and Chicago, followed by a Saturday matchup with fourth-ranked Kansas.

Both of Friday’s Razorback matches will be televised by Cox Sports TV with Alex Perlman and Jill Dorsey-Hall handling the play-by-play and color commentary duties, respectively. Fans can also watch Saturday’s matchup with Kansas streaming live on ESPN3 through the WatchESPN app.

While it faces Kansas for the 11th time in program history—and for the sixth time in the past five seasons—Arkansas is set to play Chicago State and Maryland for the first time. The Jayhawks and Terrapins enter the weekend at 3-0 while Chicago State is looking for its first win of the season.

On the heels of Illini Classic All-Tournament honors, senior co-captain Danielle Harbin leads Arkansas with 2.7 kills per set through the first three matches of the season. She tied her career high with 14 kills in the season opener at No. 14 Illinois. In the Razorbacks’ last match, Barbara Dapic tallied the 10th double-digit performance of her career with a team-leading 11 kills against Xavier.

After three road trips to begin the season, the Razorbacks return to Fayetteville for their home opener Sept. 16-17 with the Arkansas Invitational at Barnhill Arena.
