FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The No. 1 Arkansas women’s track and field team will travel to the Golden State to take part in the NCAA West Preliminary Round (West Prelims) in California’s capital city of Sacramento May 23-25.
The regional competition, which spans over three days, will feature the 48 most talented student-athletes (per event) in the West. Student-athletes earn their trips to Austin, Texas, hosts of the NCAA Outdoor Championships, by finishing among the top-12.
Champions of the 2019 SEC Outdoor Championships, the reigning Indoor National Champions head into the West Preliminary with the second-most entries in the country at 34, trailing Texas A&M by one entry.
