Spring Schedule Set For Razorback Soccer

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Just a few months removed from its fifth NCAA Tournament appearance in the last six years and third-straight SEC Tournament final appearance, the Arkansas soccer team kicks into gear its preparation for the 2019 season with a series of practices and a four-match exhibition slate.

The Razorbacks will face two foes from the Southeastern Conference in Mississippi State and Ole Miss, as well as Kansas State out of the Big 12. Arkansas will also have a unique opponent in March as it will host the Toronto Blizzard girls club team at Razorback Field. It’s the second-straight year that the Razorbacks have taken on a non-D1 opponent in the spring.

The schedule begins on Sunday, March 3 when Arkansas travels to Mississippi State. The Razorbacks and Bulldogs battled to a scoreless draw back in October as goalkeeper Taylor Beitz tallied a career 11 saves. It was one of her six clean sheets of the season.

On March 9, the Toronto Blizzard will face off with Arkansas as the only home match of the spring schedule.

Then, on March 30, Arkansas will travel north to Kansas City, Missouri to face Kansas State at Swope Park, located approximately 20 minutes southeast of downtown Kansas City.

Arkansas will finish the spring slate on Sunday, April 14 when it travels to Conway, Arkansas to take on the Ole Miss Rebels at Hendrix College.

Arkansas is coming off a 14-win season from a year ago, which included an opportunity to host the first round of the NCAA Tournament for the second time in school history. It was the 10th 10-win season in school history and fourth under head coach Colby Hale. The Razorbacks went 10-0-1 at home last year, marking the first season in school history an Arkansas team has gone unbeaten at home.
