FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Following a 16-tackle performance during a four-overtime win against SEC west foe Auburn, Arkansas linebacker Dre Greenlaw has been named the SEC Freshman of the Week, announced by the league office on Monday morning.

Greenlaw’s 16 tackles are tied for the most nationally by a FBS freshman in a game this season and are the most by a Razorback since Alan Turner had 16 against Mississippi State on Nov. 23, 2013. The Fayetteville product came up with 12 of his 16 tackles in the second half and overtime periods in the 54-46 victory over Auburn.

Over the last three games at Tennessee, at Alabama and against Auburn, Greenlaw has accumulated 34 tackles with a pair of double-digit performances. He leads all SEC rookies with 53 tackles on the season, good for sixth among freshmen nationally. Since entering the starting lineup five games ago, Greenlaw has led Arkansas in tackles three times.

The Razorbacks host UT Martin for Homecoming on Saturday, Oct. 31. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m and the game will be nationally televised on SEC Network, WatchESPN.com and the WatchESPN app. Tickets are still available at ArkansasRazorbacks.com or by calling 1-800-982-HOGS.
