Three netters make season debuts this weekend

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Razorbacks men’s tennis team travels to Waco, TX this weekend for the HEB Baylor Invitational, where Arkansas coach Robert Cox will send senior Blake Strode and sophomores Chris Nott and Matt Hogan against highly touted players from schools including Baylor, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, and Tulsa in the singles and doubles tournaments.

Each of the Hogs participating in the tournament is playing in his first event of the fall. Ranked 41st in the country, Strode is Arkansas’ highest ranked player after finishing last season with a dual record of 11-14. Hogan also enters the 2008-09 season ranked, earning the 125th spot for going 10-12 in dual matches last year primarily at No. 3 and No.4 singles for the Razorbacks. Nott hopes to continue his success for the Razorbacks this season; he spent most of his time playing No. 5 singles in 2007-08 and finished with an impressive 25-12 overall record.
