Wednesday practice report

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Arkansas Razorback football team returned to the practice field Wednesday afternoon for a workout inside Walker Pavilion. Following practice, defensive coordinator Willy Robinson spoke with the media.

On Wednesday’s practice:

"It was good today, very sharp. Our players’ attitudes are similar this week to last week and preparing for Florida. We take it one game at a time and we are preparing for Ole Miss."

On the areas Arkansas’ defense has been improving:

"Our players are running to the football. They are opportunistic. We are creating fumbles and recovering fumbles. We are getting off on third down and playing well in the red zone right now."

On Ole Miss’ offense:

"They are explosive. They are dynamic. They are very multiple and they have play makers."

On the play of Malcolm Sheppard:

"Malcolm is really concerned with how he is performing. He’s done a great job and the example he sets, that’s how he teaches the other guys. How hard he plays and the example he sets, I think the other guys want to be like Malcolm."

On Ole Miss’ rushing attack:

"They have a lot of different options. They have the wildcat and they have two good tailbacks when they aren’t in the wildcat. They are dynamic and they do a great job of getting hats on hats."

On the play of DeQuinta Jones:

"He’s done a great job and he understands the system well. I think he’s had a few lapses in regards to assignments but even when he has assignment errors he still goes full speed. Because of that, he’s able to make up for those errors."
