#21 Razorbacks Begin Spring Season

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – The 21st-ranked Arkansas men’s golf team is in 12th place with a 36-hole total of 582 (294-288) in the team’s opening event of the spring season – the Sea Best Intercollegiate played at TPC Sawgrass Dye’s Valley Course (par 70, 6,790 yards).

Tyson Reeder led the Razorbacks, shooting a 2-over-par 142 through two rounds Monday and standing in a tie for 25th. In the morning session, the senior posted an even-par round of 70 thanks to three birdies and three bogeys. He followed that with a 2-over round of 72 in the afternoon.

Julian Perico is tied for 45th (145). He, like Reeder, carded three birdies in the morning session and fired a 74. In round two, Perico shot a 1-over-par 71 getting two birdies and an eagle on the 354-yard, par-4 third hole – one of six eagles turned in one day one.

Mason Overstreet is tied for 52nd with a 36-hole score of 147 (75-72). Luis Garza is one stroke behind Overstreet and tied for 57th with a two-round total of 147 (75-73). William Buhl is tied for 70th (76-77=153). William McDonald, playing as an individual, is in 72nd with a score of 154 (79-75).

Texas A&M, ranked 12th nationally, leads the 14-team field with a 7-under-par, 36-hole score of 553, followed by #37 Florida (554), #13 North Carolina (560), #35 Liberty (562), #48 Campbell (566) and #31 North Florida (568).
