Barbara Sets Single-Season Shutout Record in 0-0 Tie with Ole Miss

OXFORD, Miss. – The ninth-ranked Razorbacks (10-3-3, 5-2-2 SEC) played to a scoreless draw for the second straight match, this time with Ole Miss (9-5-2, 3-5-1 SEC).

Goalkeeper Grace Barbara notched her 10th clean sheet of the season and broke the program’s single-season shutout record.

First Half

The Hogs opened the match with three shots in the first four minutes, with the first taken by senior Jessica De Filippo just 1:07 in.

Arkansas came close to finding the back of the net in the 14th minute after senior forward Anna Podojil fired off two shots from inside the 18-yard box. The first was deflected back into the box by Ole Miss goalkeeper Ashley Orkus. Podojil then fired again and hit the far post.

The Razorbacks went into halftime with a 6-2 lead in the shots category.

Second Half

A powerful shot in the 85th minute from forward Ava Tankersley was punched out and gave the Hogs one of their nine corner kicks on the afternoon, but Orkus snuffed out Arkansas’ best chance of the half.

Arkansas finished the match ahead in the shots, 13-6. Tankersley led the team with four.

The Razorbacks have shut out 10 of 16 opponents this season, the most since the 2019 team notched 13. Seven of those clean sheets have come against SEC opponents, the most by an Arkansas team in the regular season in program history.
