Ferguson Picks Up Two Wins on Second Day of Texas A&M Fall Invitational

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Three members of the Arkansas women’s tennis team completed the second day of the Texas A&M Fall Invitational. Sophomore Katie Ferguson went 2-0 on the day, grabbing wins in both doubles and singles play.

Ferguson picked up the lone wins for the Razorbacks on the day, defeating Cortes (Houston) for her first singles victory of the event. In doubles, Ferguson teamed up with Texas A&M’s Kayal Gownder to win 6-2 over Esquivel/Robbins (Texas A&M). Senior Morgan Cross battled hard and went the distance in her singles match, falling in three sets to Catherine Aulia (Tennessee).

The Hogs finish play at the Texas A&M Fall Invitational tomorrow morning with singles play against Utah.

Ovrootsky/Pachkaleva (Texas) def. Cross/Harvey (Arkansas), 6-4
