Hogs Rally for B-Cut Times on Day One

COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS – The Razorback swimmers finished day one of the Art Adamson Invitational by posting a team score of 124. Arkansas currently sits in fifth place, trailing Alabama, LSU, USC and Texas A&M.

“We started off day one strong with lots of finals swims, season bests and more importantly personal bests. The 200 free relay got their NCAA B-Cut, and Andrea, Bella, Kobie, and Alessia all got their NCAA B-Cut in the 50 free,” stated head coach Neil Harper. “Luciana looked very strong in the 500 and placed 4th while easily surpassing the NCAA B-Cut. Also, our medley relays finished the night strong, and we are looking forward to a lot more specialty events tomorrow.”

Hog Highlights

  • Grad Student Andrea Sansores picked up an NCAA B-Cut time of 22.37 in the 50-freestyle event.
  • Grad Student Luciana Thomas finished fourth and swam a time of 4:45.75 in the 500-freestyle event.
  • The 200-freestyle relay team clocked an NCAA B-Cut time of 1:29.00.

Arkansas swimmers will compete Thursday, Nov. 17 at the Art Adamson Invitationals, while the divers will be at the SMU Invitational.
